DREAM EVIL: 'The Ballad' Video Released
September 16, 2010"The Ballad", the new video from Swedish metallers DREAM EVIL, can be viewed below. The clip was once again directed by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES, SONIC SYNDICATE and KAMELOT, among many others. Ullaeus has been responsible for all of DREAM EVIL's visual matters since the band's majestic clip for "The Book Of Heavy Metal" and was also the producer of the group's "Gold Medal In Metal" DVD in 2008.
Commented the band: "After bringing most of the summer on the road doing festivals, camp DREAM EVIL decided to release another video!
"On the U.K. tour with HAMMERFALL in May we brought our good friend and video director Patric Ullaeus along for the ride. We decided to just do a 'rockumentary' video, capture a typical day on tour.
"You guys will get a chance to see the true colors of DREAM EVIL both on and off stage!
"We had a really good time doing this and hope you will too, watching it!"
"The Ballad" comes off DREAM EVIL's new album, "In The Night", which entered the official chart in the band's home country at position No. 53. The CD sold around 500 copies in the United States in its first week of release. It landed at position No. 83 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
The "In The Night" artwork was created by Gustavo Sazes (ARCH ENEMY, FIREWIND, KRISIUN). The LP is also available as a classy limited edition mediabook CD with alternate artwork, expanded booklet and including the special audio bonus tracks "Good Nightmare" and "The Return" as well as an exclusive patch.
"In The Night" was once again produced at Sweden's Studio Fredman (DIMMU BORGIR, IN FLAMES, HAMMERFALL),which is owned by DREAM EVIL axeman Fredrik Nordström.
